Vanguard: an intermediary for AI assistants

The problem
Teams use AI assistants to write, summarise and translate. Sometimes they paste personal data about clients or employees into them, and the organisation does not know it.
What we plan
- Detect personal data in a request before it leaves the organisation.
- Mask that data before it is sent to the language model provider.
- Keep a record of the affected requests, so the person in charge of data protection can check them.
These functions are planned. Their exact scope, the supported model providers and how to configure them will be published before the alpha.
